Located on a repurposed ferry in the Old Port, Bota Bota’s picturesque setting immediately captivated our team. However, it was the spa’s impressive array of massages, ranging from classic Swedish and deep tissue to specialised prenatal and advanced 1000-hour certified techniques, that made them stand out. 

We spoke with several other patrons who raved about their curated packages. Some of the highlights include the “Layover Water Circuit” which provides three hours of access to their rejuvenating circuit, and the “Drift”, which adds a 60-minute massage to the experience. 

We also discovered that the spa regularly offers themed promotions like the “Layover at Dusk” promotion which provides an evening discount, while “Neighbourhood Love Wednesdays” offers a 15% discount to local residents. 

They also have an on-site restaurant named La Traversée, so you can try dishes like salads, seafood, and smoothies while relaxing. However, it’s best to keep in mind it has a limited capacity and it can get crowded during peak times.

“It was wonderful. We arrived without a reservation and the person at the front desk immediately searched and found a spot for me and my partner. Everything is very clean, they change your towel and/or bathrobe every time you need it. They have many spaces for relaxing, and silence and a garden where you can speak freely that has the same amenities. The view is spectacular and all the staff were very attentive and friendly. I would only suggest as an improvement that they had messages throughout the place like “enjoy this moment”, “you are beautiful as you are” and positive zen messages like that.”

Delivers pure relaxation and exceeds expectations

“My husband and I booked the 3-hour water circuit at Bota Bota, while we were visiting Montreal. The entire experience was pure bliss. Upon entering, the very nice staff person gave us our wristbands, towels and robes and gave us instructions on how to use the spa. We started on the boat and enjoyed the outdoor hot tubs and cold dunk barrels. It was exhilarating! You are asked to stay quiet/silent on the boat. After that, we spent the majority of our time on land in their gardens going from pool to pool and into the sauna. You can talk in the gardens but are asked to keep your voices low/quiet. The waterfall in one of the pools was amazing to stand under to get a neck massage and we also enjoyed lounging on the hammock chairs. It was so peaceful and relaxing. In the beginning, I thought it would be hard to stay there for 3 hours, but by the end of our time, I wanted to stay longer! I cannot wait to visit again!”
