We also like that their skills cover the most common fridge types: standing, integrated, and smart fridges. Since these are what most households own, their services feel practical and widely useful.

Another thing we appreciated was their prompt communication. They responded quickly to our emails, which made it easy for us to get details and book an appointment without hassle.

What really stood out to us, though, was their speed. Our team researcher’s malfunctioning fridge was up and running in just a couple of hours.

Lastly, we appreciate their polite staff. When we reached out for an undercover consultation, they made us feel very comfortable talking and asking questions.

However, they were quite slow in replying to my emails. There were times when they responded almost a day later, which you may find inconvenient.

During our conversation, one of VM Service Tech’s staff member told us that their technicians can repair many types of fridges, which is a huge point. They can fix top freezers, built-in models, and more.

What stood out to us was VM technicians’ professionalism. Many customers we spoke with mentioned that the technician cleaned the area where he repaired the fridge before leaving. 

Their service is also pretty prompt. If you urgently need your fridge fixed, they can send a technician to your place right away after the call. This is great if you have groceries in your refrigerator that can spoil quickly.

Their unique online self-service client portal cemented their spot on my top list. You can do practically all things in their portal, such as scheduling an appointment, paying for their services, and more.

That said, some of their past customers told me that their technician was almost an hour late. Still, the technicians did a good job in repairing their machines.

Longevity is the reason why we’ve included Service 2000 in this list. They’ve been fixing appliances throughout Montreal for over four decades! Delivering excellent service for this long is a great feat.

They’re skilled in repairing at least 31 brands of refrigerators, which isn’t bad at all. Some of the well-known brands they work on are LG, Samsung, and Whirlpool.

We also really love how punctual their technicians are. And on instances when they can arrive earlier than the agreed time, they notify customers immediately. This is very important for us since unexpected arrivals can throw off our schedule.

The great thing is t

hat they offer discounts to members of their partnered organisations throughout Canada. Residential customers just have to show proof that they’re a member of one of the shop’s partnered organisations. 

Their only disadvantage to competitors is that they don’t operate on weekends. It would be better if they did.

“Even though there was nothing to “fix” as it turned out to be an intermittent electrical problem due to water in the housing for the caps to our stove, Mohamed was not only honest, but informative and extremely kind. He double checked and made sure his diagnosis was sufficient and even advised us how to proceed if the problem happens again. MERCI MOHAMED!!!! LA MEILLEURE! (He even fixed our loose door with new screws and just charged us for the service call). Beyond inclusivity, we were impressed by how fast Canada Appliance Services’ technicians work. Some customers reported being able to use their refrigerator again in just a few hours after the technician’s visit.

We highly recommend them if you’re residing within the West Island, as they offer same-day service throughout that area. Imagine the convenience of having your fridge fixed without the need to wait for another day.

What’s even better is that they hold public liability insurance. This provides peace of mind as it acts as a safety net for their business and your property.

Many people also love how patient the technicians are in answering questions. They entertain every inquiry you have while working without getting irritated.
