Most companies give you 4–6 hour windows, but Number One Appliance Repair doesn’t. They give you a 2-hour time slot, which makes life way easier.
A few people even said their washer got fixed the same day they called or the next morning.
When we called for consultation, we also found out that their techs have over 10 years of experience. They work on pretty much every brand and use up-to-date tools to find the issue fast.
We also heard a lot about Bob, one of their technicians. One customer said Bob not only picked up the call quickly but also showed up in an hour with the part already in hand.
Prices are upfront and clear. They charge $149.95 for labour, and the total repair cost is quoted before anyone shows up. Plus, they give a 3-month warranty on both the repair and parts, which is longer than most places.
Now, nothing’s perfect. A few customers said they had to call back because the issue wasn’t fully fixed the first time, or it was misdiagnosed. That’s a bummer when it happens, and while it doesn’t seem common, it’s still something to be aware of.

Reparation Flash Repair’s diagnostic service is impressive. It costs $99, and they’d actually test the washer’s functions and check the inner components.
We also liked how their techs came prepared. They show up with tools and carry a bunch of common parts right in their van. That means there’s a good chance they can fix your washer on the first visit.
Something we kept hearing from past customers was also how well the techs explained things. They walk you through what went wrong and sometimes even show you how to avoid the problem next time, which we appreciate.
They also offer a 1-year warranty on parts (if bought through them) and 3 months on labour. For us, it’s not bad. It gives you some breathing room if things go sideways again.
However, we spoke to someone who said they paid $75 for the visit, $55 for labour, and $53 for a fuse. It feels a little steep for a 15-minute fix.
While the pricing is upfront, it can add up fast for smaller jobs. If your washer just needs a tiny tweak, you might feel like you overpaid.

One thing we really appreciated is the range of washer problems CAS can handle. Their techs handle both everyday issues and deeper problems like bearings or drum misalignment.
We also liked that they use real parts, straight from the manufacturers. For us, this means no cheap knock-offs that wear out in six months.
They also offer same-day service in most cases. If your washer breaks mid-laundry, there’s a good chance someone can show up fast.
They charge $140 or $160 for the initial visit (depending on your location in Montreal), but if you go ahead with the repair, that fee disappears. It’s kind of like a try-before-you-buy but for diagnostics.
That said, a customer complained about the tech running a calibration first and charging extra, even though it didn’t fix the problem. They paid $280 before tax, then got quoted $570 for a part, which was almost the price of a new washer.
What felt a bit off to us was that the extra calibration charge wasn’t explained ahead of time. We think CAS could improve here.

Their same-day repair service is a big deal. From what we’ve heard, some people had their machines diagnosed and fixed in under an hour.
Technicians show up with tools and common parts, so they’re not wasting time going back and forth to get what they need.
We also liked their diagnostic approach. They check the whole machine, which can save you from a second breakdown two weeks later.
One customer said they felt like everything was explained clearly and nothing was rushed, which says a lot.
We also appreciate that they have an online booking system. A client said they got an estimate through text before the tech even arrived.

Their technicians are impressive. They show up with the right tools, run proper diagnostics, and explain things in plain English.
If you’ve ever had a repair person talk circles around you, their team is really refreshing.
The service fee is $99. That covers the travel, the inspection, and the quote. It’s non-refundable, which might sting if you decide not to go through with the repair.
But the flat-labour fee is a nice touch, which is $59 for smaller fixes. They’ll also let you know in advance if it’s going to cost more.
We also liked that they offer a warranty on repairs.
