Accessible ticket pricing. We compared entry fees and advance rates to find options for different budgets.
Venue atmosphere and seating. We considered setups such as intimate cabaret tables and lively pub spaces. A great room elevates the live comedy experience.
Food and drink options. We looked at whether venues provide bar service or dinner menus during performances. Grabbing a bite while you watch makes the evening more convenient.

This is the best comedy spot

For a night out with friends or on your own, this is the best comedy spot! (A nice bonus when it’s close to home). The staff is fabulous, and so are the shows. I highly recommend it!

2. Montreal Comedy Club

Website: https://mtlcomedyclub.com/

Address: 895 Rue de la Gauchetière Ouest

Contact: (514) 503-8121

Hours: Shows across the week (performance times and venues vary by event)

Montreal Comedy Club shakes things up by offering English stand-up across a whole network of local venues instead of just one room. This flexible approach means you can catch homegrown and visiting acts practically any night of the week.

They even handle private and corporate bookings for groups planning a big night out.

Since they partner with different spaces, you can turn some comedy outings into a full dinner night out.

But remember that the actual venue changes depending on the event you book. Seating, food menus, and accessibility can vary with the ticketed location, so make sure the room, not just the showtime, fits your plans.

Pros

  • English stand-up across multiple venues
  • Shows throughout the week
  • Local and visiting comedians
  • Accepts corporate and private bookings

Cons

  • Venue changes depending on the event

Hadn’t laughed this hard in years

I wanted to get out of the US for the weekend and coming to Montreal has been my top choice for a few years. So I left Atlanta at 11am and booked myself into two shows put on by the MTL Comedy Club. To put it bluntly, I honestly hadn’t laughed this hard in years if perhaps ever. The organizers knew your name when you walked in, they were kind and gracious at the beginning of the shows, guiding me to my seat, and they bid a warm adieu at the conclusion.

Website: https://www.comedyville.ca/

Address: 895 Rue de la Gauchetière Ouest, Suite 54

Contact: 514-345-0000 | [email protected]

Hours: Thursday, 6:00 PM – 12:00 AM; Friday – Saturday, 5:00 PM – 2:00 AM

Comedyville Comedy Club brings high energy with a Thursday professional/amateur (Pro/Am) format that mixes experienced performers and amateur comics.

You can catch early evening shows and late-night performances across its programming, giving you room to plan around dinner.

Moreover, a typical show runs around 75 to 90 minutes, making it easy to schedule the rest of your night. They also offer food and drink service at their Deli Planet shows.

That said, you have to factor in the one-item minimum purchase rule for the Thursday Pro/Am event. Thus, you’re required to order at least one food or drink item on top of admission, so the ticket price isn’t the entire evening’s cost.

Pros

  • Mixes professional and amateur performers
  • Offers early and late show options
  • Food service available at Deli Planet shows
  • Typical shows run approximately 75 – 90 minutes

Cons

  • Thursday Pro/Am requires a food or drink purchase

One of the best comedy clubs in Montreal right now

Had such a great time at Comedyville. If you’re into Montreal comedy or just need a fun night out in Montreal, this is definitely the spot. The comics were hilarious, the energy in the room was amazing, and it honestly felt like one of those local gems you’re glad you found. It’s probably one of the best comedy clubs in Montreal right now.

Comedyville really stands out

I’ve watched a lot of stand-up over the years, and Comedyville really stands out. It isn’t just another comedy club Montreal offers. The room has great energy, the audience is engaged, and the sets always feel sharp and entertaining. If someone’s into Montreal comedy or searching for live standup comedy shows in Montreal, this place should be high on the list. It’s also a solid choice for anyone looking for things to do in Montreal at night. The whole experience just works.

Address: 2313 Rue Sainte-Catherine Ouest, 3rd Floor

Contact: (514) 932-6378 | [email protected]

The Comedy Nest features headliner-led English stand-up in a cosy, cabaret-style seating arrangement complete with candlelit tables. This setup feels more personal than sitting in endless rows of theatre seats.

Additionally, they offer indoor parking in the Forum and a wheelchair-accessible venue.

In fact, a friend goes to their Newbie Tuesday every single week, and she always discovers new performers trying out their jokes. She added that the fhe full bar inside makes it easy to pair the show with a drink.

Just know that the reviewed headliner and Newbie Tuesday performances require attendees to be at least 18. And you must check the event’s door time when booking since the schedule changes with individual performances.

Pros

  • Cabaret-style seating with candlelit tables
  • Wheelchair-accessible venue
  • Indoor parking and close to Atwater Metro
  • Hosts Newbie Tuesday events

Cons

  • Reviewed headliner and Newbie Tuesday shows are 18+

Everyone needs a laugh and the Comedy Nest delivers

This was an outstanding experience. We first met Lyle at the door who was professional with an amazing smile. Our M.C. was Wassim El-Mounzer. He had us laughing between each act. We then saw Geoffrey Applebaum, Francois Bellefeuille, Paul Balyot. They each had the audience laughing in their own way. We then had our headliner D.C. Benny. He had a great set, and used great Canadian references. We laughed through the show. This is not to be missed. We will return soon. Everyone needs a laugh and the Comedy Nest delivers.

The best comedy club in montreal

The best comedy club in montreal, I have been to over 10 shows and there hasn’t ever been one I didn’t enjoy. The waitressing staff is organized and quick, as well as super helpful! Some drinks are 8$ tax included, affordable considering montreals cocktails run at 15$ + tax now. Theres also paid parking lots around and usually street parking at night. Will always be my number 1 choice for a comedy show!

Website: https://lebordel.ca/

Address: 312 Rue Ontario E | Additional: Le Bordel 2, 330 Rue Ontario E

Contact: 514-845-4316 | [email protected]

Hours: Check their calendar

Le Bordel Comédie Club delivers a lively cabaret experience, with its regular Comédie Club format packing at least five comedians into approximately 75 minutes.

They offer everything from open-mic nights to the Gong Show, giving you plenty of formats to pick from. For a deeper dive, their “60 minutes avec” shows give a named comic an extended set.

This club also runs two neighbouring performance rooms.

Just a heads up: avoid booking two performances on the same evening because the specific format repeats the same material across the rooms.

You can check out nearby bars or live music venues afterwards instead of double-booking the same show.

Pros

  • At least five comedians in the regular Comédie Club format
  • Offers open mics and Gong Shows
  • Extended sets through “60 minutes avec”
  • Two neighbouring performance rooms

Cons

  • Same-evening Comédie Club performances repeat material across both rooms

Best comedy club and restaurant

Best comedy club and restaurant. Awesome customer experience. When you reserve for the restaurant once you booked for the show, they’ll reserve the best table for you for the show. After your meal ,you have nothing to worry about. They’ll come get you from your table at the restaurant to the table at the show. Easy. Awesome. Stop reading and book now!😁
