Luckily, some services can save us from our own lack of gift-giving skills. My team and I started hunting down the best gift deliveries in Montreal, so we’re ready when those days hit.

Thought we’d share the list with you too. I mean, let’s be real, we can’t be the only ones who struggle with this.

How we chose the best gift deliveries in Montreal

Gift baskets are the easiest option for a quick gift, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t personal. Let us introduce you to Pellat Cornucopia, which proves otherwise.

They design baskets around specific occasions or recipients. The baskets are intentionally assembled, focusing on themed gifts. 

Among their offerings are spa and wellness packages and gourmet food assortments. Sweet-tooth people also don’t have to visit chocolate shops since they also have a chocolate collection basket here. 

Most of the clients we’ve spoken with felt they were the ones who assembled the baskets because of the thoughtful curation.

The team is responsive when things get complicated. In one case, a basket was stolen after delivery. The company quickly offered to send a replacement while they sorted out what happened.

There’s also an instance where they had to reroute a gift order at the last minute. The team reportedly responded after hours to help coordinate with the courier before the delivery window closed. 

Taken together, we’ve concluded that their biggest strength is customer communication. 

That said, their patience shouldn’t always be taken advantage of. They charge around 20 CAD for address corrections.

The problem with most gift delivery companies is that they often have a default curation for every order. Well, we were proven wrong once we dug deep into how Les Paniers EFD operate.

They stood out to us because of their focus on quality and exclusivity. Rather than filling baskets with standard supermarket items, they source gourmet products you wouldn’t normally find in typical gift baskets.

Moreover, they do customisations very well. Multiple repeat customers mentioned requesting specific items or adjustments to baskets, with the team consistently delivering.

That makes them a strong option for people who want something more tailored.

Some companies are MIA during weekends, but Les Paniers isn’t. They can deliver on any day of the week. Just remember that orders placed before 4 PM EST will be processed the following day.

From what we’ve heard, orders usually arrive the next day or within two days, which is fairly fast. But the ordering structure may not be the best option for ultra last-minute gifts.

When giving a gift, you can never go wrong with fruits and desserts. As the name suggests, that’s exactly what Edible Arrangement offers!

We loved how different their concept is compared with the usual suspects. Their speciality is fruit-based arrangements (often chocolate-dipped) assembled to look like a bouquet. 

People who’ve received these gifts said every piece tasted ripe and sweet. A lot of customers were repeat customers, which already says a lot. They don’t joke around when it comes to reliability.

In one case, a client even had a last-minute address change while the order was already out for delivery. The team successfully redirected it, though.

The team can also go to great lengths to deliver successfully. 

An arrangement was sent to a company office where nobody was present. The delivery staff tracked down the recipient and delivered the gift to their home instead. It seems like they’re willing to problem-solve rather than marking a delivery as failed.

With all of that considered, they still might not be the best for those hoping for a highly customised hamper with lots of different items. Their fruit bouquets are their signature here.

If you’re the type of person who likes having one go-to place for almost any gifting scenario, Glitter Gift Baskets is worth the look. Their catalogue is pretty extensive, and it’s impressive how many occasions they can cover. 

A big part of their identity is personalisation. The baby baskets, in particular, caught our attention during research. Items like blankets and bibs can be embroidered with the baby’s name. 

In other cases, corporate clients have added their company logos or custom messages. It’s likely why they seem to attract a lot of businesses sending appreciation packages or holiday gifts to staff.

Compared to the other deliveries we’ve looked into, their baskets are pretty huge. Several customers also mentioned that the baskets look just as impressive in person as they do online.

When it comes to customer service, their representatives are helpful. They respond quickly and make the ordering process easy.

However, we did hear one recurring concern: delivery timing. Some people mentioned baskets arriving later than expected, which is a little troubling.

Carolyn’s Gift Creations may be a small company, but Carolyn used that to make her gifts more personalised.

The shop is located downtown, which makes it especially convenient for last-minute or professional gifting. But convenience alone wouldn’t explain the strong reputation we’ve heard.

What stands out is how she collaborates with clients. Customers can either choose from hundreds of themed baskets or build something completely custom.

Those who know exactly what they want in the basket, Carolyn is happy to accommodate. But interestingly, people who don’t know what to give seem to have just as good an experience. 

One customer noted that when they were unsure, Carolyn asked questions about the recipient and suggested items that would suit them.

She can also accommodate tons of gift baskets, which is great news for companies giving back to their employees during the holiday season.

The shop also offers flower delivery services, so it’s possible to create hybrid gifts that combine baskets with flowers!

Just remember that they have shorter business hours on Saturdays and no Sunday service.
