We were so impressed with Dr. Marie Gdalevitch and her team at the Canadian Limb Lengthening Center (CLLC). From the moment we walked in the door, we felt welcomed and cared for.
Our team had the opportunity to speak with Dr. Gdalevitch and several of her patients, and we were struck by her compassionate approach and dedication to her patient’s well-being.
We love that she takes the time to clearly explain diagnoses and treatment options in a way that’s easy to understand. It’s clear that she’s not only a skilled surgeon but also a wonderful communicator.
The CLLC is a state-of-the-art facility, and we were particularly interested in their use of the PRECICE nail system for limb lengthening. This technology, combined with their comprehensive pre- and post-operative care, truly sets them apart.
We did hear from a few patients that it could be challenging to get through on the phone to schedule an appointment. Perhaps they could consider adding additional staff or implementing an online booking system to improve patient accessibility.

We were particularly drawn to their expertise in minimally invasive hip and knee arthroplasty. This approach can significantly reduce pain and recovery time for patients, which is a major advantage.
Ortho Westmount is also recognised for its leadership in hip resurfacing arthroplasty. It’s a testament to their willingness to stay at the forefront of surgical advancements.

Dr Marc Beauchamp’s reputation precedes him. Our team was eager to meet the orthopaedic surgeon who pioneered shoulder arthroscopy in Quebec, and we weren’t disappointed.
His experience is truly impressive – over 9,000 procedures. It’s no wonder he’s considered a leader in the field.
We were actually interested in his approach to minimally invasive techniques. He prioritises his patients’ comfort and recovery, and his commitment to minimising postoperative discomfort is commendable.
We also like his use of ultrasound technology during consultations. This allows for accurate diagnoses and targeted treatments, like ultrasound-guided injections. It’s this kind of attention to detail that sets him apart.
Beyond his clinical skills, we were struck by Dr Beauchamp’s dedication to orthopaedic excellence. His work as a consultant for organisations like Cirque du Soleil speaks volumes about his versatility and expertise.
In addition, he offers online booking, which makes it convenient for patients to schedule appointments. However, we did hear from some patients that the secretary could be a bit more personable.

After a failed rotator cuff surgery done in SEA where I work, decided to take a trip back home to get a revision surgery with Dr. Beauchamp, best decision ever. Shoulder was completely jammed in scar tissue with barely no range of motion two years following first surgery, and now 3 months post surgery have already gained lot of range back and keep progressing with physio, it was a delicate revision surgery and very happy to have picked the right person to do it. Our team had the chance to visit Laboratoire orthopédique. We were able to see firsthand how they’re making a difference in communities like Rivière-des-Prairies, Pointe-aux-Trembles, and beyond.
It’s not always easy to find quality orthopaedic care in these areas, so we were thrilled to discover this gem.
We love that they take the time to understand each patient’s unique needs and create custom solutions that fit their lifestyle. Whether it’s foot orthotics or compression garments, everything is made with precision and care.
We were also impressed by their dedication to quality. They hold memberships with professional organisations like the Association des Orthésistes-Prothésistes du Québec and adhere to the standards of the Ordre des technologues professionnels du Québec.
We also had the pleasure of meeting the founders, Mario and Caroline. Their passion for their work is contagious. They’ve created a warm and welcoming space where patients feel comfortable and valued.
But we did hear a few comments about occasional curt remarks from staff during consultations. While this wasn’t our experience, we hope they’ll take steps to ensure consistent professionalism in all interactions.

“Nora was referred to me by my former family doctor at the end of 2017. She is a very friendly and attentive person. Its custom orthotics are so comfortable that, after the adjustment period of a few days, you forget you are wearing them. In addition, they are of very high quality. I have just changed my first pair which lasted me… more than 6 years even wearing them almost daily! I needed a medical prescription to be reimbursed by my insurance. She wrote a letter with the results of the assessment appointment for the doctor I consulted via telemedicine. I was able to obtain a medical prescription for renewal without needing to do other exams or consult a podiatrist and thus get reimbursed. Dr. Benoit Benoit definitely deserves all the praise he receives. Our team had the pleasure of meeting with him and learning more about his practice, and we were blown away by his expertise and dedication.
First, his credentials are impeccable. He earned his medical degree from Université Laval and then completed his orthopaedic residency at Université de Montréal, even earning a spot on the Dean’s honour list.
We were also impressed by his passion for advancing orthopaedic medicine. He’s an assistant professor of surgery at the Université de Montréal, and he is actively involved in training residents and international surgeons.
When it comes to patient care, Dr. Benoit excels in hip and knee surgeries, including arthroscopy. He takes a personalised approach and prioritises rapid recovery, which is something we value highly.
We found his practice to be very patient-friendly, with online appointment scheduling making it easy to book a consultation. However, it’s worth noting that due to his expertise and high patient volume, there may be a wait for major procedures.
