Find your balance at the best Pilates studios in Montreal

We’ve discovered that Pilates shares many qualities with life—it’s full of balance, surprises, and the occasional sore muscle you didn’t know you had.

After exploring classes that tested our flexibility (and patience), we’ve found studios that go beyond being workout spaces.

These are spots where you’ll genuinely enjoy spending your time. Whether you’re mastering your first teaser or refining your Hundred, these spots have the expertise and energy to keep you motivated.

Let’s dive into the best Pilates studios we’ve found—you’ll thank us after your next roll-up.

How much do Pilates classes cost at studios in Montreal?

Pilates classes at studios in Montreal typically cost $12 to $40 per session. Discounts are available for packages and memberships. The final price may change depending on the type of class, the studio, and whether you opt for private sessions or group classes.

How We Chose

Class Offerings – We reviewed each studio’s class variety, ensuring they cater to different experience levels. We checked if they also offer diverse Pilates styles like mat, reformer, or barre-inspired classes.
Certified Instructors – We confirmed the instructors’ certifications through their websites. We also contacted the studios to verify their credentials in Pilates and related fitness disciplines.
Studio Atmosphere – We looked into reviews and even visited some to evaluate the ambience, cleanliness, and overall vibe to ensure it’s welcoming and conducive to fitness.
Location and Accessibility – We considered studios that are conveniently located in Montreal. They should have easy access via public transport or parking availability to help find spots that fit every schedule.
Community Feedback – We dove into feedback from real clients by analysing reviews on Google, social media, and fitness forums. This helped us gauge satisfaction with the classes, instructors, and facilities.

1. MTL Pilates Lab

Operating hours:

  • Monday to Thursday – 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM
  • Friday – 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM
  • Saturday – 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM

Website

MTL Pilates Lab gave us a lot to unpack during our visit—and not just because of the core work. From the moment we stepped in, it was clear that this wasn’t your typical Pilates studio.

We had the chance to chat with the instructors, observe classes, and even talk to a few regulars to get the full scoop. What stood out immediately was their unwavering focus on technique and progression.

Speaking of progression, their system is so well-organised. You’ve got Level 1 to ease you into the basics, Level 2 to build up flow and core awareness, and advanced classes that really push the boundaries of what your body can do.

However, a few newbies mentioned it can feel intense, which we understand. Our advice is to start with a private session to ease into it.

Regardless of that, the tailored private sessions were the highlight. The instructors were great at customising the workouts to fit your goals. Plus, they’re so hands-on during in-person sessions.

They also have a YouTube channel with classes and tutorials, so you’re not out of luck if you can’t make it to the studio.

Pros

  • Strong focus on technique
  • Structured levels for all abilities
  • Custom private sessions
  • Specialised equipment
  • YouTube classes for flexibility

Cons

  • Intense for beginners

Impresses with highly knowledgeable instructors

“Absolutely adore this place! I’ve taken both private and group classes and I always leave the studio impressed with the amount of knowledge each instructor holds. I’ve gone to multiple pilates studios around Montreal but none compare to MTL Pilates Lab’s cleanliness and serenity….their attention to detail is unmatched. I highly recommend this studio to any beginner, intermediate or advanced pilates devotee!!”

Supports proper form with focused attention

“I started Pilates a little over a year ago and immediately fell in love with it. The instructors are super nice and willing to help. I especially enjoy the classes, both in groups and private lessons, given by Kimberley! She is absolutely amazing, incredibly patient and knowledgeable, and really takes her time to make sure I do the movements properly. I’ve seen a huge change in my body’s strength thanks to her encouragement and personalized work!”

Roze Pilates feels like a breath of fresh air in the fitness world. It’s clear their mission isn’t just about fitness—they’ve created a space where movement feels meaningful, inclusive, and accessible to everyone.

We liked that the studio has a cosy, welcoming atmosphere that puts you at ease as soon as you walk in.

We were excited to explore their class variety, and it certainly lived up to the hype. The Reformer Pilates classes seem to be a favourite among regulars. It offers a full-body workout that’s as challenging as it is rewarding.

The barre classes are another standout. It blends Pilates, ballet, and strength training for those who want a low-impact way to sculpt and strengthen.

What struck us most was the balance of structure and creativity in their sessions. Clients appreciated how the instructors kept things engaging while ensuring proper technique was always a priority.

The staff were also helpful. They were really enthusiastic about helping us find what works best for us. Their emphasis on making Pilates approachable for all fitness levels really stood out.

We also love how Roze Pilates embraces social media by sharing tips and glimpses of their classes on TikTok. This adds a modern and accessible touch.

However, a few students mentioned occasional hiccups with class reservations. So, if you’re planning to join, we’d recommend double-checking your reservation ahead of time to avoid any mix-ups.

Pros

  • Warm and inviting atmosphere
  • Approachable for all fitness levels
  • Diverse classes
  • Balanced structure
  • Active on TikTok

Cons

  • Class reservation issues

Combines challenge with fun for an energising workout

“I had my first Pilates class at Roze Pilates today and opted for a private session to get started. The experience was fantastic! My teacher, Justine, was incredible—super attentive and made me feel completely comfortable. The studio is perfectly located across the bike path, with beautiful morning light, clean, and spacious. Despite being a challenging workout, it was so much fun, and I felt energized by the end. If you’re new to Pilates and feeling intimidated, I highly recommend trying a private class—it really helped me get familiar with everything. I’m already looking forward to coming back for more group classes!”

Accommodates diverse skill levels with ease

“I went with a group for a private class for a bachelorette and we had a fabulous time!! Our teacher was so fun and supportive with just the right amount of pushing us as a very diverse group of skills. Would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a great Pilates class for you or a small group of people.”

Studio Sage had us curious from the start, so we couldn’t wait to see if they lived up to the buzz—and spoiler alert, they absolutely did.

This isn’t your typical fitness studio. They’ve got yoga, Pilates, and barre all under one roof. What really impressed us, though, was how they blended these into immersive boutique-like experiences.

We gave classes like “Sculpt: Pilates au sol” and “To the Beat: Barre Fitness” a go. They were thoughtfully designed for every fitness level. Whether you’re dipping your toes in or going all out, all classes felt tailored to whoever showed up.

We were also happy with the atmosphere. They’ve nailed the vibe with music and lighting that made every session feel like a mini escape.

We also tried using their app, which was simple and intuitive. We booked a class, grabbed memberships, and even accessed their on-demand SAGE TV with ease. For anyone who’s juggling a busy schedule (like us), this kind of flexibility is a huge bonus.

Now, here’s the flip side: while the instructors are clearly skilled, they were so focused on the session that it felt impersonal. A little extra friendliness would make a big difference.

Pros

  • Immersive boutique-like experience
  • Classes for all fitness levels
  • User-friendly app
  • Flexible options for busy schedules

Cons

  • Instructors can feel a bit impersonal

Provides a serene ambiance ideal for peace and wellness

“Sage is such a cute studio nestled in the heart of the mile end, offering a harmonious blend of tranquility and inclusivity. The studio’s serene ambiance is a go to for me. The owner, Magali went out of her way to bring to life her vision of welcoming warm studio with a modern design.  The location, makes it effortlessly accessible for those with busy schedules. The studio is offering a range of classes from revitalizing meditation to dynamic Pilates and serene yoga. Instructors are not only skilled but supportive and help you push your boundaries. Sage truly feels like a safe space, whether you seek peace, fitness, or wellness.”

Cultivates a positive and uplifting atmosphere

I absolutely adore Carley and Anne-Cath’s classes and the fun + energetic vibe of the studio. It’s been such a positive experience from day one and I genuinely look forward to every class.”

Vpilates – Studio Mieux-Être has been a favourite in the wellness world since 2014. After checking them out, we totally get the hype.

Their lineup of classes is anything but boring—Pilates, Reformer sessions, Bootybarre, and more. Honestly, we loved the variety!

What truly amazed us was how personal everything felt. During our visit, the instructors took the time to chat with everyone to get to know each one’s goals. That level of care made the whole experience feel special.

Their attention to detail is outstanding as well. From the tailored support in each session to the thoughtful touches that make you feel valued, it’s no surprise their regulars rave about the experience.

We also gave their app a whirl, and it’s a winner. Booking classes, browsing schedules, and even diving into their library of online courses was a breeze.

But fair warning: their classes fill up quickly. A few clients told us they’ve had trouble securing spots in popular sessions, so we’d recommend booking as early as possible to avoid disappointment.

Pros

  • Wide variety of classes
  • Suitable for all fitness levels
  • Strong focus on individual goals
  • Easy-to-use app

Cons

  • Classes fill up quickly

Encourages consistency with engaging and uplifting sessions

“I have been doing Pilates on the reformer for 5 years now. I started at V Pilates with Vanessa. She has the patience of a god!! I fell in love with Pilates right away! I come 2-3 times a week! It has helped me in so many ways, body, mind, & soul! Everyone at the studio is extremely nice and passionate of what they do! I love to start my week with these wonderful ladies! Thank you :)”

Lucy Mattera, Google Review

Simplifies scheduling with an easy-to-use booking platform

“I LOVE this studio! Both the teachers and the participants are super pleasant to be around. The teachers are energetic and are able to adapt the movements if you have an injury or if you want to surpass yourself. The classes are diverse, the booking platform is so easy to use, I modulate my workouts without hassle and according to my schedule. Really a great discovery!! Thanks to Vanessa and her superb team, special thanks to Martine B. for your dynamism, your always very well structured classes, your encouragement, your laughter… you give me back a taste for training!”

Operating hours:

  • Monday to Friday – 7:30 AM to 8:30 PM
  • Saturday – 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM
  • Sunday – 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM

Solstice Pilates strikes a balance between expertise and inclusivity. While they’ve earned a reputation for working with performers like dancers and acrobats, we were happy to see the doors welcoming anyone looking to build strength and flexibility.

The atmosphere immediately stood out during our visit—calm, inviting, and free of any intimidating “exclusive studio” vibes.

The minimalist studio design is exactly what we’d hope for in a space like this—clean, simple, and focused on creating a sense of ease. Their class options are equally thoughtful, offering everything from tailored private sessions to dynamic group classes.

We particularly appreciated their hands-on approach to instruction. It ensures everyone gets the most out of their practice, with personalised adjustments and specialised equipment making all the difference.

One area that felt like a missed opportunity, though, was the lack of an online booking system. While their Facebook page keeps the community updated, we’d love to see the convenience of a dedicated app or website booking option.

Pros

  • Inclusive atmosphere
  • Expertise in working with performers
  • Minimalist studio design
  • Hands-on instruction
  • Offers tailored private sessions

Cons

  • No online booking system

Elevates sessions with extensive multidisciplinary knowledge

“I have been with Robert for over 6 years and echo all the previous reviews.Having done yoga and Pilates for many years Robert is by far the most attentive and skilled teacher I’ve had. His extensive knowledge of related disciplines elevates each class. Highly recommended!”

Balances challenge with positivity and encouragement

“Robbie Crooks has been our personal Pilates trainer for almost 5 years. I cannot say enough good things about him. My husband and I  are in our 70’s and we train together. Robbie is very kind and understanding, always mindful of our special needs, aches and pains. He keeps challenging and motivating us while always being positive, encouraging and cheerful. He puts a great deal of thought and effort into our sessions often changing our routine so it is never boring. Our flexibility, range of motion, core strength and balance have improved greatly. Robbie motivates us every time we see him……. Anyone would be very fortunate to have him as a trainer. Yvonne & Arthur.”
