Kinton Ramen provides broad ramen customisation by pairing rich pork, chicken, beef, or vegetable bases with different noodle styles and seasonings. You can explore spicy, shoyu, or rich miso profiles depending on your mood.
Students looking for quick comfort food love their value combos. They bundle big bowls with crispy sides and drinks for solo eaters or groups.
Kids can also dig into gentle chicken noodles paired with golden fries. Plus, their children’s combo includes a drink, and pork Original ramen is another option.
Plant-based diners need to stay alert, though. The five regular vegetarian bowls on the Quebec menu contain dairy, which rules them out for strict vegans.

My go-to place for cheap and tasty ramen
My go-to place for cheap and tasty ramen. I usually get the value meal. The pork gyozas have a nice crunch and the chicken ramen is filling, well-balanced, not too salty. Service is fast and the servers are friendly.

The pork-bone broth is made fresh daily, creating a rich and velvety base for the ramen. You can also choose between thick or thin noodles, depending on the texture you prefer.
We spoke with a regular at the counter who said ordering kaedama, an extra serving of hot noodles, is a must for soaking up the remaining savoury soup.
Just keep in mind that the shop closes early from Sunday to Wednesday at 9:30 p.m., so late-night diners may need to plan their visit earlier in the evening.

One of the best ramen restaurants I’ve tried
One of the best ramen restaurants I’ve tried. The ramen was rich, flavorful, and very satisfying. In fact, I enjoyed it so much that I ate here twice during my three-day visit to Montreal.
I tried the Tonkotsu Noir as well as the ramen-and-rice set, and both were excellent. The service was good, and the restaurant itself was comfortable and pleasant.
Highly recommended if you’re looking for great ramen or Asian food in St Catherine area.

3. RAMEN ISSHIN VERDUN

Website: https://ramenisshin.com/location/verdun
Address: 3876 Wellington St.
Contact: (514) 769-8989
Hours: Monday–Wednesday, 11:30 AM–8:30 PM; Thursday–Sunday, 11:30 AM–9:30 PM
Deep wok aromas hit you as soon as you walk into Ramen Isshin. Their signature Red Miso ramen starts with crisp vegetables, sake, and red-and-white miso wok-fried together, then piping-hot tonkotsu broth is added.
If you want to switch things up, try the stone-bowl tsukemen dipping noodles or the nutty black sesame tantan. There are also soothing chicken broths if you’d prefer something lighter than the rich pork base.
With so much variety, this spot is a casual alternative to the city’s Japanese fine-dining restaurants when you’re craving a warm, comforting bowl.
However, diners with celiac disease should take extra care. The gluten-free ramen isn’t considered celiac-safe because cross-contamination can occur, and simply choosing gluten-free noodles doesn’t remove that risk.

Chinatown has plenty of cosy soup spots, but Machiya Ramen stands out for its tonkotsu broth, simmered for at least eight hours each day. That slow cooking creates a rich, milky soup that clings nicely to every strand of noodles.
The menu here offers plenty of variety, including fragrant black garlic, spicy seafood ramen packed with mussels and squid, and creamy plant-based bowls.
We spoke with a diner who stopped by for lunch and said adding extra seasoned egg and sweet corn made their steaming bowl even more memorable.
However, weekend visitors should note that the daily specials only run on weekdays. That means Saturday and Sunday diners can’t count on the same discounts.

One of the best ramen spots I’ve tried
This is honestly one of the best ramen spots I’ve tried.
The first thing that impressed me was the broth. It tasted completely different from most ramen places I’ve been to. It was rich, creamy, and full of flavor, but not overly salty at all. I finished almost the entire bowl of soup, and surprisingly, I didn’t feel thirsty or have that dry mouth feeling afterward like I usually do.
I chatted with the owner after the meal, and he told me the broth is made from scratch and simmered for 8 hours. That’s when everything made sense…

Nothing beats the springy chew of freshly made noodles, and Yokato Yokabai makes all of their ramen noodles in-house every day. That attention to freshness comes through in every bowl, which is prepared to order.
The kitchen serves rich pork tonkotsu, an earthy mushroom-and-seaweed vegetarian broth, and nutty sesame gomami. If you’re feeling curious, you can also try a new rotating recipe each month from the head chef.
Ordering is simple too, as you fill out a paper menu to build your bowl. Plus, weekend service runs all afternoon without the weekday kitchen break.
Still, be ready to wait during busy periods. The ramen section doesn’t take table reservations, and waitlists can grow when the restaurant gets crowded.
