Get glammed up with the best beauty salons in Montreal

Montreal’s beauty scene is abuzz, and we’re here to be your trusty guides through the hive. Forget the DIY disasters and embrace the professionals who can transform you from ‘meh’ to ‘magnifique’.

Whether you’re a beauty newbie or a seasoned pro, this list has something to tickle your fancy. We’re talking salons that’ll polish you up till you shine brighter than the Montreal skyline, and unleash your inner beauty queen (or king!).

From blowouts that’ll make your hair bounce with joy to facials that’ll leave you glowing like a supernova, we’ve got the inside scoop on where to get glammed up in Montreal.

How much do typical services at beauty salons in Montreal cost?

The cost of services at beauty salons in Montreal varies depending on the treatment. For example, haircuts can cost about $75, while hair colouring usually averages around $165. Keep in mind that prices may fluctuate based on the salon too.

How We Chose

Reputation & client feedback – We scoured through online reviews, customer testimonials, and word-of-mouth recommendations to gauge each salon’s reputation in the community.
Range of services – We assessed the variety of treatments offered, from haircuts and colouring to facials and nail services. We want to make sure the salons cater to diverse beauty needs.
Expertise & qualifications – We evaluated the skills and qualifications of stylists, aestheticians, and technicians to ensure high-quality and professional services.
Ambience & atmosphere – The overall vibe of the salon was important. That’s why we looked for clean, welcoming, and relaxing spaces where clients could unwind and enjoy their pampering sessions.
Customer service – Friendly, attentive, and professional staff are key to a great salon experience. Hence, we prioritised places known for exceptional customer care.

1. Two Horses

Operating hours:

  • Tuesday to Saturday – 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM

Website

Two Horses has been shaking things up since 2013. They’ve created an inclusive space that caters to every hair type, body, and even your furry friends.

What we really like about this salon is how it balances personalised, high-quality services like balayage, foliage, and corrective colour. Prices start at $58 for cuts and $145 for a Single-Process Colour. Aside from hair, they also offer facials for $155.

The team, with stylists like Caroline and Debz, brings warmth and skill to the table. They make anyone—whether a bit shy or a beauty enthusiast—feel comfortable. Their collaboration with local artisans also adds a lovely community vibe to the experience.

That said, we’d love to see them expand their services a bit further. Adding options like manicures, pedicures, or brow services could really turn them into a one-stop beauty destination.

Pros

  • Inclusive and welcoming space
  • Highly skilled stylists
  • Personalised hair services
  • Collaborates with local artisans

Cons

  • Limited service offerings
  • Some reports of sudden appointment cancellation

Creates a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere

“I had such a great first experience at this salon! I saw Izzy, who was so approachable and attentive. I felt fully heard in my hair needs and Izzy delivered with so much care and patience! I also loved the atmosphere, the option for facials, and how non-pushy they are with the product even though I love their product lines! I am 100% all-in. Thank you Izzy!!”

Engages in thoughtful consultations to understand client needs

“My appointment with Kat at Two Horses was the best salon experience I’ve ever had! It started with a warm welcome and a hot tea, continued with a wonderful discussion with Kat about what I needed, and finished with the perfect haircut for my thick head of fine hair. The space and atmosphere is cosy, warm, welcoming and non-judgemental. I’m so happy to have found this salon and I highly recommend it!”

V & O Salon is a gem we stumbled upon in Montreal, and it’s hard not to love their fully organic and vegan approach to beauty.

They’ve swapped out the usual harsh chemicals for cruelty-free, non-toxic products in everything they offer – manicures, pedicures, facials, you name it.

When we popped in, the modern vibe and calming energy really made an impression on us. Plus, the staff were super attentive.

Starting at $65 for a mani and $75 for a pedi, they’ve made it easy to indulge without feeling guilty. We were especially drawn to their eco-friendly sugaring service for hair removal – way more gentle than waxing!

Booking online was quick, and the vouchers for future visits are a thoughtful touch. Honestly, whether you’re pampering yourself or grabbing a gift for a friend, you’re in for a treat here.

I’m always so impressed with their work and my manicures and pedicures always look incredible! They really put in so much effort to accommodate your beauty needs. A very clean and calming environment, giving it more of a spa-like experience. I love going here and couldn’t ever go to any other salon. Highly recommend!”

Salon Amie really knows how to make you feel like they’ve thought of everything. When we popped in, it wasn’t just another appointment – it felt like a true consultation.

They really dig into your beauty routine to offer the perfect treatment. They offer laser hair removal (which works on all skin types, by the way), lash lifts, and even facials that range from gold to herbal. The variety means you’re bound to find something that hits the mark.

Their services start at $40, which is pretty solid considering the level of care you get. And we’ve gotta say, having the Laval location is a bonus for those of us juggling busy schedules.

“Amazing experience with the Salon. The staff is really very polite and patience. Was very satisfied with the service. I am bit sceptical about going to a salon but I can highly recommend you to go there as I got exactly what and how I wanted. My eyebrows were done perfectly and super fast. Very happy and delighted. I will visit the salon often. Thank you.”

Completes high-quality work, even in limited time

“I arrived at the salon at 5:30 PM, and they managed to complete a full body waxing in just 45 minutes, even though they were closing at 6 PM. The staff was incredibly kind and took great care of me. Despite the limited time, the work was very well done. I felt genuinely welcomed, even with only 30 minutes left before closing. Highly recommend this place for their excellent service and professionalism! Thank you so much.”

Their haircuts start at $60, but if you’re up for a treat, the $95 full package includes a mini scalp massage – perfect for some extra pampering. And the natural hair dye from Marcapar? It’s hypoallergenic, vegan, and a lifesaver for covering greys without chemicals.

They don’t stop at hair, though. Their Oxygeneo facials, priced at $180, are famous for giving skin that dewy, hydrated glow. Plus, their massages range from Ayurvedic scalp treatments to reflexology.

We also appreciated the promotions they run, like the Duo Couple Massage for $170 or $35 off the Oxygeneo Facial on Saturdays. These promotions are a great way for customers to save while indulging.

Leaves skin feeling soft, smooth, and refreshed

“I recently visited Helen Cosmetologist for a facial treatment with carbon peeling, and I have to say that I was very impressed with the experience. Helen was incredibly knowledgeable about the treatment and took the time to explain the entire process to me beforehand, which put me at ease. During the treatment, I could feel the carbon peeling working to exfoliate my skin, and Helen was very gentle and thorough throughout the entire process. She also used a range of high-quality products to cleanse, tone, and moisturise my skin, leaving it feeling soft, smooth, and refreshed. Overall, I would highly recommend Helen Cosmetologist for anyone looking for a professional and effective facial treatment. Her expertise and attention to detail are truly impressive, and I left feeling confident and rejuvenated. Thank you, Helen.”

Offers warm and welcoming service from the start

“Visiting Montreal and decided on a Duo Swedish Massage for myself and my wife to start our vacation. I had booked a 60 minute session for us, and we were welcomed warmly and invited into separate rooms. Svitlana and Elizabet were professional and our sessions were very relaxing. My wife advised that her session was amazing. The next time we’re in town, we’ll be looking to visit again!”
