How We Reviewed

Preparation Techniques: We checked how each kitchen preps their poultry before it hits the fryer. Brining times and frying methods play a huge role in keeping the meat juicy while maintaining a crispy exterior.
Flavour Variety: We looked at the number of unique sauces and dry rubs available on the menu. A great spot should offer everything from sweet glazes to intense pepper heat.
Value and Portions: We evaluated how much food you actually get for your money on a standard order. We paid close attention to included side dishes and overall portion sizing.
Accessibility and Hours: We considered location convenience and late-night availability for hungry night owls. Easy transit access and reliable after-hours food service definitely boosted a venue’s ranking.

Address: 3515 Boulevard Saint Laurent

Contact: (514) 282-1580 | Fax: (514) 282-1588 | [email protected]

Hours: Monday-Friday, 11:30 AM – 3:00 AM | Saturday-Sunday, 10:30 AM – 3:00 AM

McKibbin’s Irish Pub serves their Belfast Chicken Wings as a massive, fully plated meal rather than a basic appetiser. Every order arrives loaded with classic blue cheese dip and their signature hand-cut home chips.

We stopped by for a late-night plate recently, and the sweet honey garlic glaze tasted incredibly fresh alongside those crispy potatoes.

If you’re a daring guest, you can try their famous Rim Reaper Challenge. This intense dish uses authentic Bhut Jolokia ghost peppers that clock in at over one million Scoville units.

Just a heads up: the blistering spice level is completely unapproachable for casual diners looking for a relaxed meal. You even have to sign a formal legal waiver before taking a single bite.

Pros

  • Plated with home chips and dip
  • Stays open until 3:00 AM daily
  • Deep imported draft beer selection
  • Multiple accessible city locations

Cons

  • Mandatory waiver for spicy challenge
  • Ghost pepper heat is too intense for most

Great food, ambiance, and extremely spicy wings

Food is always excellent and perfectly adapted with the ambiance and drinks. Service is good; if it’s really busy it’s ok, but it’s never bad. I have a lot of good memorie at this place. Even the time I tryed to eat the most spicy chicken wing (so spicy you have to sign a discharge) and couldn’t stop even if I felt my stomach turning. Yes there chiecken is THAT good! Don’t worry they have regular chicken wings as well 😉

Ghost Pepper Wings defeated me completely

I handle plenty of heat but these ghost pepper wings kicked my butt. I was able to only eat 3 before succumbing to the Rim Reaper. For about 30 minutes I had to soak my mouth in milk. Their other foods and their service is good. I’m never touching those wings again.

2. Le Wingshop

Website: lewingshop.com/

Address: 1828 Sainte-Catherine St. West

Contact: +1 438-375-6110

Hours: Monday-Thursday, Sunday, 11:00 AM – 12:00 AM | Friday-Saturday, 11:00 AM – 2:00 AM

Le Wingshop locks in deep flavour by soaking their poultry in a twenty-four-hour brine before applying a signature double-frying technique. This custom method guarantees an incredibly crispy shell that holds up perfectly under heavy sauces.

Guests can choose from 16 different house blends, including sweet garlic parmesan and fiery pepper glazes.

Moreover, they hand-toss every order fresh out of the fryer to prevent soggy textures under heat lamps.

Unfortunately, their menu focuses entirely on poultry options like bone-in cuts and buttermilk tenders. This strict menu means vegetarian friends will struggle to find a complete meal here.

You might also have trouble finding a table, as the 60-seat dining room fills up fast with local university students.

Pros

  • Sixteen hand-mixed house sauces
  • Double-fried for maximum crunch
  • Open until 2:00 AM on weekends
  • Steps from Guy-Concordia metro

Cons

  • Strict poultry focus lacks vegetarian mains
  • Small dining room gets crowded quickly

Amazing atmosphere and delicious spicy tenders

The atmosphere was amazing, and the food was really good! The chicken tenders and wings were perfectly spicy and absolutely delicious. The mozzarella sticks were also really tasty. Mac n cheese was a 10/10. Even though it was busy during the rush, the staff worked incredibly hard and kept everything running smoothly. The wait time was surprisingly good despite how packed it was. Overall, it was a great experience, and I’d definitely come back!

Crispy chicken and creamy Mac and cheese

Amazing spot for crispy chicken in Montreal!

The tenders were perfectly crispy on the outside, super juicy inside, and packed with flavor. The wings were just as good, with a huge selection of sauces so there’s something for everyone.

The portions are generous, everything tasted fresh, and the loaded mac & cheese was honestly one of the highlights — super creamy, cheesy, and really satisfying.

Definitely a spot I’d recommend if you’re craving crispy chicken in Montreal. I’ll be coming back for sure!

Restaurant Birdhouse uses a secret multi-hour brining process to keep their meat perfectly tender beneath a crispy shell. They proudly serve the legendary Wings N Things buffalo sauce originally from the Notre-Dame-de-Grâce (NDG) neighbourhood.

My friends and I ordered a platter last weekend, and that historic 1980s recipe delivered a perfect kick of hometown nostalgia.

Diners wanting a local twist can order the Maple Heat blend, which mixes reaper peppers with sweet Quebec syrup.

However, picking this artisanal flavour adds an automatic surcharge to your bill. Plus, you’ll have to pay an extra $3 if you want additional dipping sauces.

Pros

  • Historic NDG buffalo sauce recipe
  • Plant-based tempura cauliflower options
  • Secret brine keeps meat juicy
  • Bottled sauces available for delivery

Cons

  • Extra fees for additional dipping sauces
  • Surcharge required for Maple Heat flavour

Best chicken wings in Canada hands down

I can truly say this is the best chicken wings I’ve ever had since I moved to Canada. From the crispness, to the amazing flavour options (side note, you got to try the vampire slayer it also absolutely delicious)and finally the service. To say that I was impressed by this place is an understatement. The blue cheese dip is so beyond amazing that if the owner doesn’t sell it by the bottle he needs to let someone else do it. The drink options were just as good as the food.

Pleasantly surprised by fresh wings and sauces

I’m pretty fussy about restaurant food, and not even a chicken wing lover. But my friends told me they’d heard this place was great, so I thought, why not? Well, I was pleasantly surprised. The food was great – best wings ever, made with FRESH chicken, and those sauces!! Outrageous. Great ambiance too – Santino made us feel more than welcome, and Devon (our waiter) never missed a beat. They’ve clearly found the formula: amazing food, friendly (and obviously happy) staff, aa great vibe. One of the West island’s best!  Thank you Lorne!

Best wings in montreal with great deals

They probably have the best chicken wings here in Montréal. Me and my friend tried most of their flavors and we fell in love with the House Spice and Honey Garlic flavors.

Pro tip: Make sure to order a bleu cheese dip on the side as it really pairs well with all their flavors. If you’re on a budget, make sure to come and dine on a Sunday to enjoy their wings at a discounted rate of 79c/wing 👌

Cozy local pub with unbeatable Sunday specials

This is small local pub, it has a special every day. I and my wife went there on Sunday, and 28cents/wing special. It was very good chicken wings and we finished in no time. I definitely go back.

5. Ye Olde Orchard Pub & Grill

Address: 1189 rue. de la Montagne Montréal

Contact: (514) 874-1569

Hours: Monday-Sunday, 11:30 AM – 3:00 AM

Ye Olde Orchard sets their menu apart by selling portions purely by metric weight instead of standard piece counts. You can order a half-kilogram or a full kilogram tossed in their signature Guinness BBQ sauce or a zesty lemon-pepper dry rub.

Every massive basket automatically includes a side of hot French fries to complete the meal.

Moreover, this downtown Celtic pub operates out of a beautiful historic building that stays open until 3:00 AM daily.

Sadly, they suspend all table reservations on nights when the nearby Bell Centre hosts a concert or a hockey game. The strict weight-based portioning also forces you into buying a large platter.

Pros

  • Orders include complimentary French fries
  • Signature Guinness BBQ sauce available
  • Huge historic downtown dining room
  • Bar stays open until 3:00 AM

Cons

  • No reservations during stadium event nights
  • Large minimum weight prevents small snacks

Great food and experience worth recommending

Great experience; I ordered the Mac and cheese with bacon and, the chicken wings with medium sauce with fries. My husband ordered the steak with fries and the food tasted great.

I’ll definitely recommend this place and will return.

Friendly staff and wings still taste amazing

I went back after 5 years and this place still got it. It was packed but the staff was so friendly and nice. So after 10 minutes we got a place at the bar and staff there were also super friendly. Chicken wings still as good as before. I will go there again for sure
